March 18, 2018 ......... tap for maple sap!

Join our Park Naturalist, Lisa Sons for a presentation on the history of Maple Syrup from the Native Americans to modern day. Try a piece of maple sugar and head outside to find a maple tree and learn how to tap for sap!

April 28 & 29, 2018 Annual Wildflower Pilgrimage

WildflowersEnjoy the great variety of spring wildflowers at Starved Rock. Guided hikes leave from the Visitor's Center at 9:00am, 10am or 11am. Volunteer Interpreters will be at trail stations in the afternoons.

October 20 & 21, 2018 Fall Colors Weekend

Fall ColorsGuided hikes to see the spectacular colors of fall. Learn about the geology and history of the Park as you are led to different canyons and overlooks of the Park. Meet at the Visitor's Center at 9:00am, 10am or 11 am for guided hikes. Volunteer Interpreters will be at trail stations in the afternoons.

October 28, 2018 Haunted Halloween Night

Luminary lit guided hikes to the top of the Rock leave the VC at 5 & 6. Kids crafts in the cabin from 5pm - 7pm . Story telling with Bill Myers in the VC at 7pm.
